Chapter Eight

Ryder

Ryder had been awake for an hour by the time Chuey stirred. He remained still, curious about what Chuey would do now that it was morning. He'd been so sweet the night before. He'd fit so perfectly against Ryder's body and in his arms that even though Ryder had only slept a few hours, those hours had been all he needed.

Chuey yawned and rolled over. Ryder closed his eyes but felt Chuey's gaze on him. His boy began to stir, and now Ryder was really curious. What was he up to? Chuey's fingers slipped under the waistband of Ryder's pants and Ryder opened his eyes, his hands going to Chuey's wrists where he could stop him. "That is a very dangerous move," he murmured.

Chuey had gasped when Ryder had first revealed that he was awake, but now he simply looked at him with a small frown. "I was going to wake you up with my mouth on your dick," Chuey said in a tone that was much too gentle for the words that he was speaking.

Ryder stilled, wondering where Chuey would have gotten an idea like that. Had he lied? Was he not as inexperienced as he claimed? Ryder had run into that before. Men who knew of his specific tastes would approach him pretending to be a person that they weren't. The ridiculous part was that Ryder didn't ever really care about a person's past sexual history. Sure, there was something primal about being someone's first, of anything. But it wasn't like it was a requirement. Except with Chuey, Ryder had never suspected that he might be lying, he was simply just so naïve in almost every way. "Where have you heard such a thing?"

"Garth," Chuey replied.

Ryder had to hold back his growl. He'd never liked the bear shifter, and after hearing so much of his influence on Ryder's boy, Ryder's opinion of the shifter had not changed.

"He said that's all an alpha wants from his mate. A warm, soft spot to put his dick into."

Ryder sat up and pulled Chuey next to him. "I understand why Garth is having a hard time finding a mate if that's what he believes. All a true alpha should want from his mate is for him to be happy and safe."

"So, you don't want blowjobs?"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. No one is saying that."

"Maybe you could teach me. Like last night. I'll be better this time, I promise," Chuey told him.

Ryder leaned over and kissed Chuey softly on his forehead. "You don't have to try to be better, you're already perfect."

Chuey's expression went from one of worry to one more suitable for a bedroom. "Then you can teach me." He moved as he spoke, settling his body on all fours between Ryder's legs. He looked up at him with those big dark eyes, and Ryder moaned.

"I can't teach you if I don't know what you already know," Ryder said. He reached down his own pants and pulled out his dick, stroking it a few times while Chuey stared at him unblinking and licking his lips.
